Care Guide
Type: Evergreen Topiary Standard
Sunlight: Thrives in Full Sun to Semi-Shade. Plant in a bright position, with some afternoon shade in extremely hot climates to maintain lush, healthy foliage.
Water: Water regularly during establishment, keeping the soil evenly moist. Once established, water deeply when the top few centimetres of soil begin to dry. Avoid prolonged waterlogged conditions.
Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Mulching around the base helps retain moisture and encourages healthy root development.
Frost: Frost Hardy. Tolerates light to heavy frost and performs well in most South African climates.
Maintenance: Trim the canopy 2–3 times a year to maintain its rounded shape. Remove any shoots growing from the stem below the canopy and feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring to promote dense, healthy growth.
