Care Guide
Type: Evergreen Topiary
Sunlight: Thrives in Full Sun to Semi-Shade. It performs best in a bright position, although afternoon shade is beneficial in very hot climates to prevent leaf scorch.
Water: Water regularly during establishment, keeping the soil evenly moist. Once established, water deeply when the top few centimetres of soil begin to dry. Avoid allowing the soil to become waterlogged.
Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Mulching around the base helps retain moisture and encourages healthy root development.
Frost: Frost Hardy. Tolerates light to heavy frost and is well suited to most South African climates.
Maintenance: Trim lightly 2–3 times a year to maintain its rounded shape. Feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring to encourage dense, healthy foliage and vibrant green colour.
