Type: Evergreen Topiary
Sunlight: Thrives in Full Sun to Semi-Shade. Plant in a bright position, with some afternoon shade in extremely hot climates to keep the foliage lush and healthy.
Water: Water regularly during establishment, keeping the soil evenly moist. Once established, water deeply when the top few centimetres of soil begin to dry, avoiding prolonged waterlogged conditions.
Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Apply mulch around the base to retain moisture and promote healthy root growth.
Frost: Frost Hardy. Tolerates light to heavy frost and performs well in most South African climates.
Maintenance: Trim lightly 2–3 times a year to maintain its perfectly rounded shape. Remove any dead or damaged growth and feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring to encourage dense, healthy foliage.
