Type: Evergreen Topiary Shrub
Sunlight: Thrives in Full Sun to Semi-Shade. It grows best in a bright position with protection from harsh afternoon sun in extremely hot climates.
Water: Water regularly during establishment to keep the soil evenly moist. Once established, water deeply when the top layer of soil begins to dry, avoiding prolonged waterlogging.
Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Mulching around the base will help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Frost: Frost Hardy. Tolerates light to moderate frost and is well suited to most South African climates.
Maintenance: Trim lightly 2–3 times a year to maintain the ball shape and encourage dense foliage. Feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring for healthy growth and rich green leaves.
