Description
Buxus nana 2.5LT, commonly known as Dwarf Box, is a compact evergreen shrub with dense, fine-textured dark green foliage that naturally forms a neat, rounded shape. Its slow-growing habit makes it an excellent choice for low formal hedges, edging pathways, knot gardens, topiary, and containers. Neat, versatile, and easy to maintain, Buxus nana 2.5LT grows to approximately 30–60cm tall and 30–60cm wide at maturity.

Type: Evergreen Dwarf Shrub
Sunlight: Thrives in Full Sun to Semi-Shade. It performs best in a bright position, although afternoon shade is beneficial in very hot climates to keep the foliage looking its best.
Water: Water regularly during establishment. Once established, keep the soil evenly moist, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid prolonged waterlogged conditions.
Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Mulching around the base helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Frost: Frost Hardy. Tolerates light to moderate frost and performs well in most South African climates.
Maintenance: Trim lightly 2–3 times a year to maintain its compact shape and encourage dense new growth. Feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring for healthy, lush foliage.
