Description
Buxus ‘Faulkner’ 2.5LT, commonly known as Faulkner Box, is a compact evergreen shrub with dense, glossy green foliage that naturally forms a neat, rounded shape. Its slow-growing habit makes it an excellent choice for formal hedges, borders, topiary, knot gardens, and containers. Hardy, versatile, and easy to maintain, Buxus ‘Faulkner’ 2.5LT grows to approximately 1–1.5m tall and 1–1.5m wide at maturity, while responding well to regular clipping.

Type: Evergreen Shrub
Sunlight: Thrives in Full Sun to Semi-Shade. It performs best with morning sun and afternoon shade in hotter regions but also grows well in full sun with adequate watering.
Water: Water regularly during establishment. Once established, keep the soil evenly moist, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid prolonged waterlogging.
Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Mulching around the base helps retain moisture and keeps the roots cool.
Frost: Frost Hardy. Tolerates light to moderate frost and performs well in most South African climates.
Maintenance: Trim lightly throughout the growing season to maintain its shape and encourage dense growth. Feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring for healthy foliage.
