Description
Abelia Francis Mason Standard 10LT is an elegant evergreen to semi-evergreen standard shrub known for its striking golden-yellow variegated foliage and clusters of fragrant pale pink to white flowers. Its elevated, rounded canopy makes it ideal as a feature plant for entrances, formal gardens, patios, and large containers, where it provides year-round colour and attracts bees and butterflies. Growing to approximately 1.8–2.5m tall, including the standard stem, and 1–1.5m wide, this low-maintenance plant flowers from late spring through autumn and creates an eye-catching focal point.

Type: Evergreen to Semi-Evergreen Standard Shrub
Sunlight: Full Sun to Semi-Shade. The brightest foliage colour develops when grown in full sun.
Water: Water regularly during establishment. Once established, water moderately, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings.
Spacing: Plant 1.5–2m apart to allow the canopy to develop fully and maintain good air circulation.
Frost: Frost Hardy. Established plants tolerate frost well, although young shoots may be lightly damaged by severe frosts before recovering with fresh spring growth.
Maintenance: Lightly prune after flowering to maintain the rounded canopy, encourage colourful new growth, and remove any shoots that develop below the graft.
