Description
Pansy Red 6 Pack is a charming cool-season flowering annual known for its rich red blooms with distinctive dark centres. Type: Cool-season flowering annual with a compact, low-growing habit and large, colourful blooms.
Sunlight: Plant in full sun to semi-shade. For the best flowering, choose a position that receives at least 4–6 hours of sunlight per day. In warmer weather, light afternoon shade can help protect the flowers and extend the flowering period.
Water: Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings, and avoid letting the plants dry out completely. Water at soil level where possible to help keep the flowers and foliage healthy.
Soil: Grow in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Good drainage is important, particularly during cool or wet weather, as constantly waterlogged soil can damage the roots.
Frost: Frost hardy and well suited to cool winter conditions. Established plants can tolerate light to moderate frost, although severe frost may temporarily damage open flowers.
Maintenance: Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming and prevent the plants from putting energy into seed production. Feed every few weeks with a balanced liquid fertiliser during the flowering season and remove yellow or damaged leaves as needed.
