Description
Colocasia ‘Black Magic’ (Alocasia) 10LT is a bold tropical perennial renowned for its dramatic, large heart-shaped leaves in deep purple to almost black tones. Its striking foliage creates an eye-catching feature in shaded gardens, around ponds, patio containers, and tropical landscapes. Fast-growing and lush, this ornamental plant adds texture and contrast throughout the growing season. Type: Tropical Foliage Perennial
Sunlight: Thrives in Semi-Shade to Full Sun where the soil remains consistently moist. In hotter climates, afternoon shade helps prevent leaf scorch.
Water: Requires regular watering and prefers consistently moist soil. Do not allow the soil to dry out completely, especially during warm weather.
Soil: Prefers rich, fertile, well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter. It also performs well in consistently moist areas, including near ponds and water features.
Frost: Frost Sensitive. Protect from frost, as cold temperatures may damage the foliage. In colder regions, the tubers can survive if well protected or lifted before severe frost.
