Description
Clivia miniata 2.5LT is a hardy evergreen perennial admired for its lush, strap-like dark green foliage and vibrant trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom in late winter and spring. Most commonly producing striking orange blooms with yellow centres, Clivias bring colour and elegance to shaded gardens, woodland settings, borders, and containers. Low maintenance and long-lived, Clivia miniata is an excellent choice for adding year-round foliage interest and seasonal colour. Mature plants typically grow 40–60cm tall and 40–60cm wide.

Type: Evergreen Flowering Perennial
Sunlight: Thrives in Semi-Shade to Full Shade. Protect from direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water: Water regularly during the growing season, allowing the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering during winter while the plant is dormant.
Soil: Prefers rich, well-drained soil high in organic matter. Compost-enriched soil with good drainage promotes healthy growth and flowering.
Frost: Frost Sensitive. Protect from heavy frost, especially young plants. Ideal for frost-free or sheltered gardens.
Maintenance: Remove spent flowers and old leaves to keep the plant looking tidy. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring and summer to encourage healthy foliage and abundant blooms. Divide mature clumps every few years if required.
