Care Guide
Type: Evergreen Topiary Standard
Sunlight: Thrives in Full Sun to Semi-Shade. It performs best in a bright position, although some afternoon shade is beneficial in very hot climates.
Water: Water regularly during establishment, keeping the soil evenly moist. Once established, water deeply when the top few centimetres of soil become dry, avoiding waterlogged conditions.
Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Apply mulch around the base to help retain moisture and maintain healthy roots.
Frost: Frost Hardy. Tolerates light to moderate frost and is well suited to most South African climates.
Maintenance: Trim the canopy 2–3 times a year to maintain its rounded shape. Remove any shoots growing from the stem below the canopy and feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring to encourage dense, healthy growth.
